GMO Foods: Stuff You Might Want to Know

I love science, and for years the possibilities of GMO foods made me excited! (secretly, I think "playing god" is awesome) However, when GMO foods have been tested for safety the evidence that something isn't so wonderful is starting to pile up. Not enough tests have been done to even know why some horrible things are happening, but since they *are* happening.....

I am not ready to toss GMO research- and the endless possibilities it offers -out the door, but I would like the right to know if I am consuming GMO foods. With Monsanto (the company that owns and controls most of the GMO products in the world) fighting so hard to avoid labeling and safety research... well, I find myself wondering what it is they know that I don't. And that makes me uncomfortable.
